I find it funny what quotes journalists pull out of an interview to use in an article--actually, to be more specific, I find it funny the things I say. Regarding god-thing, I apparently said, "
“I like a little bit of shock value. I like to be shocked and I like to dish it out."
I don't remember saying it, but I must have. It's definitely true!

There's another little thistle poking at me today too. I'm chugging right along with a YA novel, but coming to some plot holes and beginning to have doubts. ARGH! I can feel the anxiety creeping in.
I have to tell myself to keep writing. I love these characters and the idea, so I'm glad to spend time with it, but there are times that I worry I'm throwing time away on writing. Do I jettison this novel for a new one that may come more smoothly, or do I continue on this one, perhaps writing myself into an abyss?
If I outline, that may be better. I'm not really a good outliner, but I may have to give it a shot. I'm going to try to outline this novel this weekend and let you know what comes of that on Monday.
I always find it energizing to try something new.
